„Welcome Days” February 2024!

Wraz z początkiem każdego semestru witamy nowych studentów z uczelni zagranicznych. Dzięki programowi Erasmus+ słuchacze z różnych państw świata mogą przybywać do Torunia i studiować wspólnie z polskimi studentami.

„Welcome Days” for Incoming Student of Erasmus+ in Toruń 2024!

University of Social and Media Culture in Toruń (POLAND)

At the beginning of each semester, we welcome new students from foreign universities.

Thanks to the Erasmus + program, students from different countries of the world can come to Toruń and study together with Polish students.

This semester will host students from Turkey, Ukraine, Spain, Bangladesh and Georgia.

We are happy that they are with us and wish them a semester full of positive impressions.

As part of the Welcome Days, apart from cultural activities and city tours, there was also an official dinner. Thus, the academic year for foreign students has started.

Students went, inter alia, to the Living Museum of Gingerbread in Toruń, where they learned about the secrets of gingerbread art.

A permanent element of „Welcome Days!” there is a welcome dinner in one of Toruń’s restaurants.

Foreign guests enjoyed Polish food, which they liked very much.

They were accompanied by the Erasmus + program coordinator, Dr. Krystian Chołaszczyński and the vice-coordinator, Mr. Paweł Łagoda.

It is a tradition…

All those who intend to study at our University are always invited to take part in Welcome Days.  They are able to see the University and the Academic Hotel as well as analyze the program of their study. They will be able to explore the city and the surrounding area. It is the time when you can make friends, meet other students and teaching staff, and integrate with the academic community of our University. They are all welcome to participate.

Besides, another example of good practice is the mentoring system.

The mentor system is to provide international students with support and care during the entire stay. Thanks to that they can direct your questions to a student. This will facilitate his access to practical information, and they will get advice and help when needed. Before coming to Torun every foreign student will be able to get in touch with his/her Polish mentor.

All this would not be possible without Erasmus+.
